Bollards International is the highly respected company, which has perfected the manufacture of a range of bollards and street furniture products using a highly durable polyurethane material.
Once the pond had been drained and the weeds, old prams and shopping trolleys removed, a new liner with concrete surrounds was laid and the area was replanted with grass. The site, an area of scenic beauty, then needed protection from the busy roads that surround it on two sides.
To this end, Bollards International has fulfilled a £20,000 contract to supply Hexham bollards which were modified to accommodate a single protective rail. The result is two-fold; happy inhabitants of Blackheath, and delighted ducks and swans, which now have a 5-star pond in which to swim!
Bollards International Managing Director Dr Barrie Colvin is pleased that the company was chosen for this highly prestigious regeneration project, saying:
