Bollards International Gives Hunstanton Promenade 'Modern Heritage'

Bollards International has recently completed a prestigious contract in its home county of North Norfolk supplying highly durable polyurethane posts and railings to replace the worn and rusted cast iron posts and chains on Hunstanton promenade.

Although the Bollards International extensive range of bollards and street furniture have the appearance of cast iron products, they are manufactured in Norfolk from specially formulated polyurethane. This means the new bollards and railings on Hunstanton promenade will not chip, rust or become weakened by constant exposure to the North Sea air and salt water, and will therefore require very little maintenance.

Bollards International has been able to manufacture these replacement products in the 'heritage' style of the more substantial posts and rails in the vicinity of the promenade, and their colours are in keeping with the local authoritys green and gold livery.

"Hunstanton is one of North Norfolks busiest all-year round seaside resorts, so it is important that it always looks immaculate. We promote our products as being ideal for coastal projects and I am confident that Hunstantons new street furniture will be virtually maintenance free and will continue looking good for many years to come" commented Barrie Colvin, Managing Director of Bollards International.

Other coastal projects recently undertaken by Bollards International include the Cromer [North Norfolk] Seafront Enhancement Programme, refurbishment on the seafront in Pwllheli [North Wales] and a new marina development at Deganwy Quay, also in North Wales.

Early last year Bollards International announced that it had perfected a process which enabled its stylish products to be produced through the regeneration of used vehicle tyres, and an increasing percentage of its products are now manufactured in this way.
